"I have been the MD for the past eight years following a two year managerial position in operations. I joined Sapphire in 2001 after returning from USA where I lived in North Carolina running an import / export business with my brother. I travelled extensively throughout the States and Canada setting up and running trade shows. On my return from North Carolina I joined Sapphire.
My career background is software training and sales. At the age of 21 I ran a training department of 8 staff for Jenson Computer Systems and was responsible for setting up the internal training department for the MOD computer section, all very hush hush and exciting at the time. I also ran the pre-sales team specialising in presentation and demonstration skills."

"I am responsible for Sales and Marketing, with my hand picked team of Charlie (Sales Co-Ordinator), Michael (Marketing and Sales Co-Ordinator) and Ev (Graphic Designer)
Since leaving school at 16, I have worked in engineering until starting Sapphire. Initially I took a technical apprenticeship with Westland Helicopters which completed at the age of 21, with a Degree in Technology with Industrial Studies – specialising in Robotics. At 21 I joined British Aerospace – where I headed up a team of engineers building propulsion systems for spacecraft. After 2 years I then moved to the Bristol division of British Aerospace where I held the position of Assistant Production Director for the Space and Communications Site. After 2 years I was seconded onto a project to design a “parametric estimating systems” for the spacecraft industry. On successful completion of the Project I left BAe and started Sapphire at the age of 26.
I am a proud Dad of 5, 2 girls and 3 boys, who range in age from 2 to 24 years. My eldest Son is currently studying for his Phd in Astrophysics at the Einstein Institute in Germany, while my eldest Daughter is studying genetics at Cardiff University. The 3 younger children are all characters, and doing their very best to keep Zena and myself busy.
Once my youngest child reaches 18 I would have been bringing up children for 40 years!"

"I am responsible for the Operations Department working with Mike (Support Co-Ordinator) and Steve (Operations Consultant).
On leaving school I went straight into working for an Accountancy Practice and studying for my AAT and ACCA qualifications. I left after 12 years and began working for a Software house on the support team dealing with Peugeot and Citroen dealerships across the UK, before moving into training and then eventually Implementation and Project Management.
I have worked in software Project Management and Implementation for the past 12 years dealing face to face with the customer bases, only stopping to Project Manage the high level internal migration of a Financial System for the Education sector from an on premise solution to a Cloud Based offering.
I live in Weston Super Mare and still at the age of 40 manage to pull on the boots every Saturday for a local football team."

"I am responsible for the operations, support and development teams. Between us we deliver projects including consultancy, training, installations, support and development.
After graduating from Nottingham University in Electronic Engineering I started my IT career building web sites for a new media agency in Nottingham. This lead me into the insurance sector where I ended up managing a team of developers building various web based systems.
In 2010 I relocated to Blagdon, after my wife found her ideal job in the area whilst on maternity leave. Shortly after moving down I bumped into Glenn in the village shop and a few days later had signed up to move to Sapphire.
When not behind my desk I’m to be found running around the local hills, training for the next marathon."
